St. Clair and Old Weston Road

Toronto

Ken Greenberg is working with a team including Giannone Architects, Janet Rosenberg Landscape Architects and Gladki Associates Planners for Diamondcorp and Kilmer on a mixed-income infill development on the northeast block of St Clair Avenue West and Old Weston Road.  Including a former Works Yard, development was hindered by various challenges including site layout and contamination. From a  former service station site on St Clair Avenue This proposal facilities development of the site through remediation and by completing an assembly of the two land parcels for a mid-rise building on St. Clair and house form buildings on the rest of the block including units for Habitat for Humanity. It provides an internal network of pedestrian lanes and green spaces and links to a linear park system on the Hydro corridor to the north.  This development is part of a renewal of the larger area in anticipation of a new Regional Express Rail (RER) station on the rail corridor one block to the west.
